The best thing about parenting (aside from the leftover Halloween candy) is the fact that billions of people have done it before you...and many have shared handy advice to help you navigate your way.

This week, I've got Yoda-like tips on screen time, help (and hope) for overwhelmed parents, great back-to-school books to add to your library before the bell rings, hilarious baby gifts, and a spotlight on a fab Etsy creative who can help you celebrate your little one's momentous occasions.

Here we go!

1. LIFE-CHANGING SCREEN TIME TIPS

Reduced tantrums! Kids playing together! More connected!

Not to sound like a late-night infomercial, but yes, you too can have this life!

And believe it or not, it's all tied to screen time.

In my blog post this week I share more tips from one of my go-to gurus, Anya Kamenetz (if you missed my podcast recommendation last week, check it out here).

Her advice helped me create screen time rules for my kiddos it's transformed our family time.

Just like going to the gym, you won't see the benefits unless you commit, but trust me, it's worth it!

And if you have additional newborn, toddler or kiddo questions, I've got ya - go here to schedule a FREE 15-minute call with me and we can chat about it!

2. FOUR NUGGETS OF HOPE FOR OVERWHELMED PARENTS

Sometimes being a parent can feel like being a castaway on a deserted island (without Tom Hanks or Wilson).

In those moments it helps to hear from another human that everything's going to be OK.

That's where this terrific Medium article comes in to save the day.

3. SUMMERTIME...AND THE READING'S EASY

There's nothing like summer vacation - no school and endless sunshine.

But inevitably September starts creeping around and you'll be back in the school-time swing before you know it.

To get your little ones ready for fall I recommend picking up some of these fantastic school-themed books.

Pete the Cat: Rocking in My School Shoes is my family's favorite!
