Licensed clinical social worker

Eri Nakagami, PhD, LCSW

Family Therapist

Hi! I’m Eri, and I’ve been working with kids, adults, couples, and families for over 20 years. I knew raising kids was hard, but I truly came to appreciate this when I had my own son. Having a child unravels you in ways you don’t expect. The thing is, everyone has mixed feelings about parenting… the love, frustration, joy, annoyance, gratification, depression, amazement, anxiety, guilt, and on and on. Parenting is rewarding but stressful and overwhelming at times. The fact that you’re looking up information on Healthy Little Sleepers shows your commitment to nurturing your kids.

You might be a new parent dealing with the stresses of a newborn, a parent of multiple kids, a single parent, a step-parent, a parent of a child struggling with some difficulties, a parent coping with postpartum depression, a family dealing with grief, transitions, or trauma, or a couple not seeing eye-to-eye on certain issues, or a parent who wants to have a deeper understanding of and connection with your child(ren) and a fuller understanding of yourself as a parent. I’m excited to join Healthy Little Sleepers in your parenting journey and help you feel better, have more clarity, and add more tools to raise your little ones.

When I’m not helping clients, I’m working out (where Susie and I actually met in 2010), cooking, gardening, or having a dance party with my son.
